The Harry Potter Prayer
by Hans Andréa
Holy Potter of the universe, who are in Heaven,
Hallowed be your Patronus.
May the Lily in my heart give birth to Harry.
I surrender my wand to you that I may use it only in conformity to your will.
Feed and sustain my inner Harry Potter,
so that he may kill the basilisk living at the root of my being
when I have learned to forgive all the wrongs done me by others.
Send your Phoenix when I am tempted,
and deliver me from the Voldemort in me.
Amen
1. Holy Potter of the universe, who are in Heaven,
The ancient Egyptians called God "the Primeval Potter" and Isaiah 64:8 says "O Lord, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou art our POTTER."
God is in Heaven, not in this world. The seeker directs his prayer to the Father who radiates his love in the pure, serene, original and holy universe that has been there from the beginning. He does NOT direct his prayer at the god in the invisible half of this world, where the dead reside between incarnations.
2a. Hallowed be Your Patronus.
The Lord's Prayer says Hallowed be Your name. To the seeker this means: May Your Name become Holy in my being. May Your Name sanctify (i.e. heal, make whole) me. In liberating symbology the word "Name" means not what people call you, but your fundamental or key radiation. Every creature radiates energy in a way which is unique and distinguishes it from every other creature. Our microcosm sings a unique song in the universe by which any entity in whom the Spirit dwells can contact us (God knows everyone by "name"). God's Name is the liberating force which He constantly sends into the universe. In this way God incessantly calls every creature. When we say Hallowed be Your Name with this in mind, we're expressing the longing for liberation, as is expressed in Psalm 42, and symbolised by James the stag. We invoke the "stag" when we express our longing for God. This pure longing is answered by God, who sends us His Name, His healing, sanctifying power, which is able to actualise the alchemical transmutation needed for liberation from this universe and entrance into Heaven.
2b. May the Lily in my heart give birth to Harry.
May the Kingdom of Heaven within me (Lily) open up and give birth to Your Son, Harry Potter. May he become my New Soul.
3. I surrender my wand to you that I may use it only in conformity to your will.
The wand is the symbol for the most magical faculty of the human being: the will. Your will, o Father, be done and not mine. I surrender my will to You that You may use it to further Your Divine Plan and liberate humanity.
4. Feed and sustain my inner Harry Potter
Make the New Soul grow, so that it can radiate your love and light to those around us, and help them achieve liberation.
5a. so that he may kill the basilisk living at the root of my being when I have learned to forgive all the wrongs done me by others.
Liberate us from the errors we have made over thousands of incarnations, to the same extent as we liberate other fallen children of God who have caused us suffering, by forgiving them. Kill the basilisk of past sins.
5b. Send your Phoenix when I am tempted
Help us when Voldemort tempts us, by sending us your majestic fire-bird, in whose light we can distinguish truth from falsehood, and whose song will give us the courage to turn our back on all temptations.
5c. and deliver me from the Voldemort in me.
Enable us finally to defeat our microcosmic Satan, the force that ties us to this universe separated from the universe of God.
Amen
There are five steps towards liberation hidden in this prayer. The numbers before the lines relate to the following steps:
1. Insight
the insight that our destiny does not lie in this world, but in the universe of God.
2. Longing for Liberation
the longing to return to the pure, serene universe of Light and Love.
3. Self-surrender
The alchemist surrenders his will to God and turns his life into the prayer Not my will but Your will be done, O Lord. He gives up all earthly attachments and prepares to die as to his old, earthly self. He enters a process of transmutation. The Nigredo Phase.
4. A New, magical mode of life
The Alchemist becomes "Dumbledore's Man" and lives his life from what his New, Immortal Soul inspires him to do. His life becomes one great striving for purity and selflessness. The Albedo Phase.
5. Liberation
When the Alchemist has done all he can to surrender his will to God, and to bring the process of transmutation as far as he can, he will face the last desperate efforts of his old microcosmic consciousness, i.e. Voldemort, to reverse the process and come back under his domination. He will tempt the Alchemist and try to take over the New Soul, but if the Alchemist is loyal to Dumbledore, Voldemort will fail, and the Alchemist will himself become a living Philosopher's Stone. He will receive the Divine Spirit and enter Eternity. The Rubedo Phase. The making of Gold!
