Harry Potter and the Meaning of Life
by Philip Plyming
After reading many disappointing books on the subject of Harry Potter from a Christian perspective Plyming came as a breath of fresh air. Here is someone who manages to combine belief with a sense of humour and a lively intelligence. He has identified several key themes that run through the Harry Potter books that are most certainly spiritual and moral, even if not explicity Christian. I liked his ability to see the difference between these things and to make the links that are appropriate rather than forcing the parallels.
This slim volume is not produced by a major publisher and so may be hard to find, but is well worth seeking out.
