Footprints of Gautama the Buddha
by Marie B. Byles
The Western world is becoming more and more interested in the teachings of the Buddha, whose message is as applicable in today's world as it was when he lived two and a half thousand years ago. Marie Byles, the author of this book, tells of the Buddha's ministerial life and of his teachings in interesting and understandable terms.
Although written as the experience of one of the Buddha's disciples, Yasa, witha beautiful simplicity, the book is nonetheless a work of scholarship and at the end of each chapter a list of sources is given. Sir Lalita Rajapakse, former Minister of Justice in Ceylon, has written the foreword.
